Binh Dinh Province Promotes Province’s Tourism In Northern Vietnam

The areas include Tam Quan and Lo Dieu beaches (in Hooi Nhon District); Ha Ra, Phu Thu, Mui Rong and Tan Phụng seaports (in Phu My District); An Toan ecological forest (An Lao District); and other historical sites such as Dao Duy Tu Temple, Tang Bat Ho Temple and some battlefield sites dating back to the American war in Vietnam.

Nguyen Van Dung, director of Binh Dinh’s Tourism Department, said the province needed to focus on traffic infrastructure in the area and advertise local tourism through various channels.

Nguyen Tuan Thanh, chairman of the province, said the area possessed a seashore, marsh lands, rivers and mountains.

The province will develop tourism routes linking Phu Cat Airport and Phu My, Hoai Nhon, Hoai An and An Lao districts, with Bong Son Town of Hoai Nhon District as the centre, he said.

The products will include “relaxing by the sea” tourism, culture-history tourism, ecological tourism and Ba Na ethnic culture exploration tourism.

The province aims to increase the number of tourists to 5.5 million per year by 2020, with total income of VNĐ10 trillion (US$434 million) from tourism.

This year, the province hopes to receive 3.55 million visitors and earn income of VND 1,620 billion
